Paola Giordano was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts (USA) on 2 December 1953 to a Florentine father, the painter Alvaro Giordano, and an Italian-American mother. He spent his childhood in Naples, at the age of about ten he moved to Milan where he attended the Liceo Artistico and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. During his last year at the Academy, he worked part-time as a designer at Enrica Sanlorenzo's Fashion Atelier. He then graduated in Painting in 1976, with honors, with Domenico Purificato and presented his thesis with Raffaele De Grada. In the same year he married Toni Carraro. He participates in his first collective exhibition in 1976 and subsequently participates in various competitions, winning numerous prizes. In 1982 his son Alessio was born; interrupts his public activity as an artist, even if he has never given up on his artistic / creative research.
